SHIP Policy — Build in Public

What is SHIP?

SHIP means publishing anything you're building, learning, or sharing to the public — articles, products, ideas, experiences...

"Ship early, ship often, ship with intention."

Minimum SHIP Commitment

Quantity: At least 4 times/month (avg. once/week), not all at the end of the month
Format: Public posts with links (blog, social media, website...)
Report: Share the link in the #ship Discord channel
Purpose: So the community can support, engage, and give feedback

What Counts as a SHIP

Accepted:

Personal profile: Introducing yourself, LinkedIn updates, portfolio
Product: MVP, beta, new feature, demo
Expert knowledge: Tutorial, guides, tips & tricks
Work experience: Lessons learned, behind the scenes
Ideas: Concept, wireframe, validation

Not accepted:

Simple reposts/shares without original content
Private posts without a public link
Comments on others' posts

Weekly SHIP Process

1. Create content (article, video, product...)

2. Post it PUBLIC (blog, social, website...)

3. Copy the post link

4. Share it in the #ship Discord channel

5. Community comes in to support and engage

Monthly Evaluation

0–1 posts: Not met — Warning
2–3 posts: Below expectation — Reminder
4+ posts: Meets requirement
8+ posts: Outstanding
12+ posts: Top Shipper

Community Support

When you SHIP in #ship, other members will like/react, leave constructive feedback, share if the content is good, and connect if there's synergy.
